The challenges of designing commercial grade sanitaryware exceed those of its consumer counterpart. In addition to attractive aesthetics, commercial designs must satisfy the performance demands of the architect, they must be easy and quick for the installer to fit and they must be cost effective for the building owner to operate long-term.
We believe that great design is the foundation for the success and utility of every Armitage Shanks product. For decades we have worked closely with our valued industrial designers to create commercial sanitaryware and fittings as elegant as they are robust. Their superior performance is not achieved by accident; water efficiency, regulatory compliance and easy maintenance are designed into every one of our commercial products.

Franco Bertoli
A graduate of the University of Milan with a prestigious and eclectic client list. Ideal Standard has worked with Franco since 1984.
Robin Levien
Long acknowledged as an expert in the design of bathroom ceramics, Robin is a Royal Designer for Industry and a non-executive director of Ideal Standard.
Marc Sadler
Born in France and now living in Italy, Marc was a founder member of Design Center 1 and has won numerous design awards throughout Europe.
